Do you offer returns or refunds?
Because each piece is made-to-order, we have specific guidelines to ensure you love your decor.
Can I return a personalized or custom wood sign?
Since custom signs are handcrafted specifically for you with unique details, they cannot be returned or refunded. We work closely with you during design to ensure it's perfect.
What if my sign is wrong?
If we made a mistake and your order is incorrect or does not match your approved design, please reach out to Backcountry Wood Co. immediately. We will prioritize a replacement to make things right for you.
What if it arrives damaged?
Accidents happen during shipping. If your wood flag or sign arrives broken, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will build and ship a new one to you at no extra cost.
Are non-custom items returnable?
Yes, for standard, non-personalized items, you can request a return within 14 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition, and return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
How do I start a return?
Simply send us an email or message through our contact page with your order number. Our team will guide you through the next steps to resolve your issue quickly.
What is the timeline for a refund?
Once we receive and inspect your returned non-custom item, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days. Funds will be returned to your original payment method used at checkout.

We stand by our craft. While personalized art is final sale, we guarantee the quality of our work. If there is a defect or shipping damage, let us know within 48 hours so we can fix it.
Can I cancel my custom order?
Cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of purchase. Once we have started selecting wood and carving your design, orders can no longer be canceled or changed.
